Clinique and Teen Vogue are teaming up for the second annual Clinique Fresh Faces tour and is stopping by GW this week to provide a unique beauty experience to students. The purpose of the tour is to inspire young women interested in fashion, beauty and publishing careers and educate them about how to break into these fast-paced industries. Complimentary beauty makeovers are offered with fresh makeup and hair looks from a team of experts with a fashion photographer set up on site to take some glamour shots after your makeover.
Top professionals from the industries were at GW on Wednesday afternoon for a panel discussion about their career paths and advice for success. Eva Chen, beauty and Health Director from Teen Vogue, Jenna Menard, Celebrity Make-Up Artist, Betsy Lowther, Senior Digital Strategist at Ogilvy PR, and Nicole Agguire, Editor-In-Chief of Worn magazine, all spoke on the panel.
The nationwide tour will find one accomplished young woman who embodies integrity and healthy beauty as the 2010 Clinique Fresh Face and she will win a paid summer internship with Clinique along with a behind-the-scenes experience at Teen Vogue in New York City.
Jennifer Nethery, Clinique Makeup and Trend Expert, sat down with WRGW to discuss makeup tips and must-haves for students that weren’t able to attend the event. “Makeup is all about enhancing what you have,” said Nethery. “You really want your eyes to pop and your skin to glow.” To transition into the fall season, she recommends that you stick with a basic foundation and blush that compliment your skin tone and to have fun with your eyeliner and lip colors. For fall, go for deeper shades and be sure to hydrate your skin during the weather transition.
